The Realm, along with Sojourn, both developed by Castle Hills, will be open within a five minute walk of your new home. Small shops, dining, office space, water features and parks will make this area even more special.

120 Brown Knight has a media/flex room that is wired for surround sound. The media room is a very flexible space that only has three and a half walls. It was built like this so that it can function for more than just watching movies.

Movie nights are definitely fun, but when a media room is closed off with dark walls, it can serve only one purpose: watching movies. Dedicated movie “theaters” often just waste space and are hardly ever used. Your new media room can be darkened for movies, but also serve as a place to play, hang out, and relax. It joins the open retreat area to make for a really large and open space upstairs.

The HOA covers the cost of the home alarm monitoring at 120 Brown Knight. An add-on feature is a mobile data connection of the alarm system. This way, a home phone line, and its costs, aren’t required. It’s also safer because it isn’t susceptible to external wires being cut by would be intruders. Whether sleeping at home or away on vacation, know that your new home will always be secure!

WiFi is great and 120 Brown Knight uses it a lot. But sometimes, especially for power users, it can be a drag. In today’s connected world, with more and more devices needing fast internet, many times WiFi just isn’t fast enough. Looking to the future, 120 Brown Knight has ethernet in every room in the house except the front guest room. From the home office, to the kitchen and living room, to the bedrooms, Cat5e ethernet cable and coax TV cable is ready to serve.

Not only is natural gas more efficient than electric heat, it feels better too. You know what else feels great? Not buying and refilling propane tanks for the grill on the large back porch! There is a gas line from the house that attaches to the grill for an endless supply of heat, and flame cooked burgers. Dinner is served!

The master bathroom is wired for sound. Installed in the ceiling are two speakers that allow your favorite tunes to be played while getting ready in the morning. The wires are run to where the living room equipment sets, so it’s easy to have the radio or music playing without having to install a separate amplifier just for the bathroom. Easy!

It’s just one more way to enjoy music in the house without having to clutter up the bathroom with more cables, chargers, bluetooth speakers, and all the rest.

No, not the movie. 120 Brown Knight has it’s own office space. Perfect for running a small business out of, it’s wired for ethernet, has plantation shutters for privacy, crown moulding, and French doors.

Even without running a small home business, a home office is great for hiding everyday items like a desk, computer, printer, wireless routers, and more. Don’t have those? It can be a personal retreat, workout room, prayer room, craft room, reloading room, dining room, or even a spare bedroom in a pinch.

120 Brown Knight has 12 trees on the property! Two Crape Myrtle trees and ten Live Oak trees. Purchased from Fannin Tree Farm just up highway 121, these trees provide a lot of shade, privacy, and a unique look to the property that other homes in the community don’t have.

Planted six years ago, they are all healthy and growing fast. The two Crape Myrtle trees have beautiful blooms during the warm months. The Live Oaks are absolutely fantastic for several reasons:

• They are green year round and don’t lose their leaves in the fall like deciduous trees do. This is great for privacy while in the back yard. It also provides year round shade for the back porch.

• They are local to the area and climate, a true Texas tree. They look great, are hearty, don’t require a lot of water, and are very heat and drought resistant. Even so, on hot days, always give the trees some water from the hose to keep them healthy and looking their very best – we always have! Treat these trees well and they won’t let you down.

• They provide a lot of appeal while sitting on the back porch or playing in the yard. While many homes in planned communities have a 12 foot back yard with a plain fence and nothing more, 120 Brown Knight’s yard is an oasis! The community fence runs along the back yard which is beautiful stone. The trees provide a great look to the yard. No plain, boring back yard here.

Planted while still very young, we have taken great care of these trees, and they will in turn take great care of you. Neighbors? These trees will provide lots of privacy. Hot sun? These graceful oaks will provide lots of shade. Curb appeal? You bet! Enjoy the trees here at 120 Brown Knight.

120 Brown Knight is in Castle Hills North, a division of the Castle Hills planned community. This master planned community has shopping, trails, parks, playgrounds, sports facilities, pools, and more!

The Castle Hills North pool is just a few minutes walk from 120 Brown Knight. Also at the pool location is a workout facility, clubhouse for larger group meetings or get-togethers, sand volleyball and basketball courts, and a large playground.

The HOA fee is $70 per month, and includes access to all the facilities except the pool, which carries a small fee for a pool-pass. The HOA fee also provides basic cable, home alarm monitoring, and sanding the community streets during icy weather.

The HOA has been both pleasant and easy to work with, providing great looking houses and clean streets and sidewalks. When everyone pitches in to make their property shine, the whole community flourishes.

Each bathroom has a built in night light near the floor. Inside the GFCI outlet is a built in LED night light that turns off during the day, and on during the night. Never have a child or a guest stub their toe again during a quick visit to the bathroom.

There are no toggle switches at 120 Brown Knight. The entire house uses modern rocker switches. Also installed, are built in timers. These are used to control both exhaust fans and holiday lighting.

Every bathroom, and the laundry room, has an exhaust fan. Leaving these fans to run too long pulls conditioned air out of the house and is inefficient. Not letting them run long enough doesn’t pull enough moisture out of the air and can cause problems. Turning a fan off too soon (when leaving a room) or letting it run too long (forgetting about it running) isn’t good.

The elegant solution is timers for every exhaust fan. Set the time for the amount of minutes to run. Then simply turn the fan on when leaving and the timer does the rest. Easy.

There are two more timers which control the holiday lighting and lights on the front of the house. These two timers are the same style, and can account for changing sunlight throughout the year. As the sun sets later and later during the summer, they extend the time to turn the lights on automatically. This is both smart and efficient.

The holiday lighting timer controls three outlets under the eaves of the roof in three convenient locations. This allows for fewer, if any, un-sightly extension cords to be required, and makes better use of the wires needed for holiday lights.

Pre-cut, pre-fitted holiday lights come with 120 Brown Knight, so all you have to do is string them up and plug them into the eave outlets and your new home will sparkle!

There are no harsh lines at 120 Brown Knight. A builder upgrade was added for rounded corners, which is pleasing to the eye and adds panache.

In and out of the pantry, our hands are always full. The last thing to have to worry about is the light switch. Thankfully, the pantry at 120 Brown Knight has a hands free switch! Open the door, the light comes on; swing the door closed, and the light turns off.

The master bedroom closet works the same way. Easy, efficient, simple. Just one more reason you’ll love making this house your home.
